I’m Right Here With You.
“Each time I experience the unseen wisdom of a person’s system, it deepens my trust in the inner process unfolding and my awe at the way we are organized to be protected until the possibility of healing arrives.”
-Bonnie Badenoch
There’s nothing wrong with you for feeling the way you do. These are learned patterns gifted to you to help you make sense of your suffering. These can appear as mental health symptoms.
Mental health symptoms and behaviors, however adaptive, are actually basic survival skills and noble efforts from our nervous systems to connect with ourselves and others.
When we grow up feeling unseen, unheard, blamed, or shamed, we may start to internalize those experiences and believe that something is wrong with us. We might turn the blame inward, develop ways of coping that helped us survive but no longer feel aligned with the person we want to be, or begin to feel disconnected, alone, or unworthy of care.
All of us need caring, supportive people in our lives—especially when we are young—to help us learn that we are safe, valued, and worthy of connection. The relationships we experience as children can shape the way we understand ourselves, our emotions, and the world around us. Throughout our lives, having people and communities who offer understanding, acceptance, and support can continue to help us feel connected.
Healing often begins when we have opportunities to experience something different—being truly seen, heard, accepted, and supported by safe people who remind us that we matter.
Together, we can learn new ways to be in this world. To believe in the goodness of yourself and others.
I come to this work having done it myself, and I continue to do it to this day.
I’d be honored to support you on your own journey.
I’d like you to know more about me and I’d love the chance to get to know you, hear your story, and help you make sense of your experiences in this world.
